Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:
On this tour, after picking you up from the hotel at 8:00 am, we will leave on a very comfortable boat to the Uros Island, to visit for 2 to 3 hours, then continue the tour to the island of Taquile ( 2 hours and a half of navigation), where we will arrive approximately at noon. Then hike to the upper part of the island (30 minutes), from where we can appreciate the immensity of the Titicaca lake and all its splendor; we will have lunch and learn more about typical textiles, people and customs. We must mention that they were declared by the UNESCO as "Cultural Wonder of Humanity". Here, spinning and weaving are carried out mainly by men, who begin to perform in this art from the age of eight. Through these textiles the people of Taquile show their marital status according to the colors, sizes and way of use. Single males use a red and white chullo (typical Andean hood), while the married ones a red one. Single women wear a chullo bigger and more colorful than married women.
