The hike begins beyond the city of Cusco to reach the archaeological complex of Chachabamba; continues towards Wiñaywayna admiring the natural beauty of the region, and arriving there we will make the respective tour. Walk to Inti Punku (Sun Gate); bus to the village of Aguas Calientes and the next morning our unforgettable visit to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. On the way back, visit to Ollantaytambo district and the final destination in the beautiful city of Cusco. Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO - WIÑAYWAYNA - MACHU PICCHU
At 05:45 am we will pick you up at your hotel for a transfer until Cusco city’s train station, and from there by train until kilometer 104 where our trek will begin. Then we will visit the archaeological site of Chachabamba ( 2.250 meters asl); this was the place where the agricultural products to be taken to the citadel of Machu Picchu were obtained. We will continue the walk towards Wiñaywayna, with an estimated arrival of 2 hours and a half later; along the way there are beautiful views of the Urubamba river and also the opportunity to appreciate different types of orchids from the subtropical forest. In Wiñaywayna we will make a stop to visit this important archaeological center. After lunch the trek continues towards Machu Picchu, which can be seen at a distance from Inti Punku (Sun Gate). We will follow by bus to Aguas Calientes, and there spend the night at a hotel.

DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
After a delicious breakfast we will take the bus up to Machu Picchu (2.400 meters asl), very early to enjoy the sunrise in this beautiful place, before the citadel gets a little crowded. Then we will have a tour led by a professional guide for approximately 3 hours, followed by a free time for lunch. In the afternoon we take the bus down to the village of Aguas Calientes, in order to aboard the train to Ollantaytambo and then the trip between Ollantaytambo and Cusco; after arrival at the city of Cusco you will be taken to your hotel.
