After approximately 4 hours of travel from the city of Cusco in our bus, we will reach the highest point of the tour, Acjanaco, located at 4.000 meters asl which is the entrance point to the Manu National Park; there we’re going have another general explanation about all the Manu’s biosphere reserve. This day very early we will go to one of the mammalian spots of the Manu, in which we have the opportunity to see the jungle’s largest mammal, the tapir, an endangered species; the tapir comes very early to the spot in order to make its daily diet, since it is a vegetarian animal, it almost always eats green plants and fruits, therefore the minerals of the spot help eliminate toxins from its body. The tour continues and then we will have the opportunity to make another trek on a different route in search of monkeys, parrots, jaguars and other animals and birds typical of the jungle. In the afternoon it will be time to return to our accommodation in Otorongo.
