Detailed Itinerary

    Day 1:

    At 3:00 am you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and start the 3- hour tour in our tourist transportation; on the way we will visit several small and very picturesque villages such as Checacupe and Pitumarka, where we will have 20 minutes for breakfast. Then we will continue for another 30 minutes in the transport. The final point will be in Pampachiri, located at 3.800 meters asl; there the professional guide will give us an initial explanation. Then, we will start our 7-kilometer climb that will take approximately 4 hours, in the direction of the Vinicunca mountain, also known as Cerro Colorado because of its chromatic variety; around us we will have spectacular views of the imposing snowy Apu Ausangate.

    After taking lots of pictures, we will begin our descent hike that will take 3 hours; on the way we will make a stop to enjoy our lunch and then go back to the starting point, Pampachiri. From there we will aboard again our transport that will take us back to Pitumarca. After three hours, around 7:00 pm our great adventure will end at the Plaza de Armas (Main Square) of the city of Cusco.
