Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO - KILOMETER 82 - LLULLUCHAPAMPA
Approximately at 4:00 am, we will pick you up at your hotel and go to Kilometer 82 by bus. After passing the control, we will begin the trek, along the banks of the Urubamba river, until we arrive at the important archaeological site of Llactapata. Continuing the hike we will get to Huayllabamba, and have lunch; the complete road will take us approximately 9 hours (a total of 18 kilometers), until we reach the first camp site in Llulluchapampa.

DAY 2: LLULLUCHAPAMPA - WIÑAYWAYNA.
On this day we will have the biggest challenge: 21 kilometers upwards to cross two very high mountains, including the Warmiwañusca, with 4.200 meters. That is the highest point of the hike, for which we must have our respiratory system in good shape, but at the same time we are going to marvel at the breathtaking panoramic views of beautiful geographical locations such as mountains and snowies, and also the beautiful subtropical valley. The hike includes visits to the archaeological sites of Runkurakay, Sayacmarca and Phuyupatamarka. Finally we will camp in Wiñaywayna.

DAY 3: WIÑAYWAYNA - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
After breakfast very early, we go towards Inti Punku (the Sun Gate), which was the entrance to the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu; from this point we’re going to have an unforgettable experience because after descending we will tour this magical and wonderful place, with a professionally guided visit for approximately 2 hours. In the afternoon we take the train Aguas Calientes - Ollantaytambo; then you will be picked up in a minivan for the Ollantaytambo - Cusco part, arriving approximately at 12:30 am to 1:00 am.
