From this point we will begin our 5-hour hike to the valley of the Blanco river, which comes from the snowmelts of the Salkantay and the Huamantay. Once we arrive in Soraypampa, we will have enough time to climb one more hour to the Turquoise Lagoon and the Huamantay snowy, and then return to our camp in Soraypampa.
DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – CHAULLAY
To begin our hike of approximately 7 hours, this second day we will have a very nutritious breakfast prepared by our expert cooks, given that the road is difficult for the very fact that we will go upwards to meet the Apu Salkantay, the point of connection with our Inca ancestors, before arriving at our next destination, the Chaullay camp.
DAY 3: CHAULLAY - SANTA TERESA
Continuing with the hike, this day we can all be more relaxed as the road will be through the Clouds Forest; walking down we will arrive at Santa Teresa, which is a small and tropical village located on the banks of the Vilcanota river. Once there, after a long walk we could enjoy a healthy and soothing bath in the thermal waters of Cocal Mayo.
DAY 4: SANTA TERESA - AGUAS CALIENTES
You will realize that the hike becomes easier since the route turns flat and light by the valley of the Vilcanota river towards the Hydroelectric of Machu Picchu; via the old train route, this section takes approximately 4 hours, and in the afternoon we will arrive at the village of Aguas Calientes, to a lodge where you will enjoy a calm and invigorating rest.
